The BOLD Companies teams, which include Governors Club Realty, recently volunteered with Rise Against Hunger to assist in the setup of a meal-packing event hosted at New Hope Church in Durham, NC. Rise Against Hunger is a global organization dedicated to ending hunger and malnutrition by providing nutritious meals to those in need.
Bags of rice, freeze-dried veggies, vitamin packets, and soy flakes were unloaded and stations were set up for the packing event the next day. These meals will be distributed through global partners that administer school feeding programs, orphanages, health clinics, vocational training, and a much greater emphasis this year on responding to crisis.
This was a humbling experience that made us reflect on the impact we can have on those in need. We are proud to be a part of a team that gives back and grateful for the opportunity to contribute to Rise Against Hunger's mission.
