In partnership with UNC, Governors Club has been awarded the opportunity to showcase the Club by hosting a premier collegiate golf tournament – the 2022 Ruth’s Chris Women’s Tar Heel Invitational presented by the UNC Women’s Golf Team! This is a huge opportunity for Governors Club as it will help strengthen the relationships within UNC's Athletic Department and community.
The Club's Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course will be on display to some of the top Power Five schools in the nation. In addition to UNC, the field of teams includes Duke, Furman, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisville, Michigan, Michigan State, NC State, Princeton, Rollins, Tennessee, UNCW, Virginia Tech, and Wake Forest.
