About Esteban Brunello

With over three decades of experience in hospitality, Esteban’s career has spanned from Buenos Aires to San Francisco to the Triangle. He has held leadership roles at acclaimed restaurants like SPQR and The Barrel Room, was named “Rising Star Sommelier of the San Francisco Bay Area” by StarChefs.com, and founded two beloved wine bars in Durham—Bar Brunello and Brunello Wine Bar.

Esteban is not only a sommelier but also an oenologist, a certified Italian Wine Specialist, and a winemaker trained through Cornell University. His collaborations with Pleb Urban Winery in North Carolina and Rosha Wines in the Republic of Georgia showcase his dedication to craftsmanship and storytelling through wine.
