There are many great things to do when it comes to Chapel Hill Entertainment located close to Governors Club. Here is a list containing a few of our favorites.

Franklin Street
Franklin Street is a prominent thoroughfare in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Historic Franklin Street is considered the center of social life for the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, as well as the town of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and it is home to numerous coffee shops, restaurants, museums, bookshops, music stores and bars. The street in downtown Chapel Hill is notable for its festivities, nightlife, and culture.

Durham Performing Arts Center (DPAC)
The Durham Performing Arts Center opened November 30, 2008 as the largest performing arts center in the Carolinas. The DPAC hosts over 200 performances a year including touring Broadway productions, high-profile concert and comedy events, family shows and the American Dance Festival. Operated under the direction of Nederlander and Professional Facilities Managaement (PFM), DPAC has twice been listed as the #1 performing arts organization in the Triangle region by the Triangle Business Journal.

Streets at Southpoint
Picture The Streets at Southpoint is the premier shopping, dining and entertainment destination in the Triangle and was featured as one of the ’10 Great Places to Spend It All in One Place’ by USA Today. Among the over 140 unique shops and restaurants, The Streets at Southpoint is home to five major department stores including Hudson Belk, Macy’s, JCPenney, Sears, and North Carolina’s first Nordstrom. Plus, The Streets at Southpoint has exciting specialty retail such as Apple Computer, Pottery Barn Kids, Bose, Cole Haan, Swarovski and Coach.

PNC Arena
Since opening night (October 29, 1999) the PNC Arena has held over 1,500 events for audiences of all ages. NCAA Basketball Tournaments, NHL Stanley Cup Finals, Disney on Ice, Paul McCartney, Pavarotti, Patti LaBelle, Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Bailey Circus, USHRA Monster Jam, NHL Entry Draft, Jeopardy College Championship, just to name a few.

Durham Bulls
The Durham Bulls are a minor league baseball team that currently plays in the International League. The Bulls play their home games at Durham Bulls Athletic Park located in the downtown area of Durham, North Carolina. Durham Bulls Athletic Park is often called the “DBAP” or “D-Bap”. The Bulls are the Triple-A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays.
